    Maui Axis

Because they don’t think they eat good? I’ve eaten several Texas hogs from hill country and they’re excellent. In that part of Texas they are eating tons of acorns when they’re available and tons of corn and I’m sure whatever other nasty things pigs regularly eat. I assume they all have...

    Maui Axis

Hard to find something that eats better than a corn fed Texas hog. I wonder how they compare in Hawaii.

    Stock Market down

Just zoom out a little and you’ll feel better. The strength of the US economy isn’t rooted in the comings and goings of politicians.

    Disappointed..

I don’t have an X9B tag . But that would be fun! @TRICER is losing his mind with all the travel he is doing this year. He doesn’t know what state he is in either….

    Disappointed..

This. Most people draw these Eastern Sierra tags and want to drive around down in the foothills and have a truck camp. There are some deer down low and you may kill a deer down there but the majority of the herd is up high. Lace up those boots.

    Nixon Fire

Two pretty good rain years in a row, we should be in better shape this year than we were then. Places I have seen this year were greener later in the year than average. That said, places that haven’t burned in many decades with incredibly dense brush like describe above in Beauty Mountain...

Agreed. Just not the right time now. It won’t be too long though. I need dogs too!

    Post pic of your dogz

We were a three dog house for a long time: The setters gave me a lot of good years chasing birds. Sadly we have lost two dogs in the last 6 months. Patsy is the last of her kind and she is retired. Here she is on one of her last hunts: I will own more setters in the future but right now we...

D12, why is it a premium tag?

It might be July 2 for the premium designation and August 2 for the restricted designation. Been a few years since I looked at that. It’s in the big game book though.

    AZ is hitting cards

Been a few years but it looks like we are heading back to the great state of AZ this year. Check your cards!

D12, why is it a premium tag?

Anything that sells out before 8/2 or whatever the date is becomes a premium tag. That is why D16 is occasionally a “premium tag.”

California draw results posted! What did you draw?

Yeah don’t bother driving around down in the sage brush. Lace up those boots and head to 11K +. I have never held the tag but I’ve done a lot of running around in that unit. Most of the roads end at relatively low elevation. Personally I would consider that a backpack hunt although I’m sure...

    Ameristep Multi-season Doghouse Blind

I have a Doghouse blind that I used one time. Not the style of hunting I prefer. It is several years old but has been stored inside, in its storage bag for the entirety of that time. I took it out the other day to check its condition and take pictures. Everything is there and in excellent...
