I had to call it quits early, packing for Colorado and leaving after church tomorrow.
Going to find late season bull playing dumb, bringing the ole 338 RUM...hopefully the bullets do not bounce off.
G13 is D16 doe tag and it is 3 weeks instead of 4. He is saying people are poaching....but if people poach then they are not getting tag filled out.
Changing rules does not stop poaching.
I would keep G13 and cut the tag quota by 1/3 (give same number of tags as muzzle loader) and then open up a 100 either sex j tags.
I think if guys want to hunt a doe every 3 years or so then let them.
Congrats again!! Well earned…next year you can add the tricer bipod to your setup and use your trekking poles as a bipod and backpack as rear rest.
“Far” mode on range finders is a must have in fog and snow. Learned that in a very similar situation.
For sure. Might be one that has a muzzle brake that gets removed for hunting season. I’ve shot my buddies old unbrakes model 70 in 338 enough times to know what I am signing up for.
Basically this exact rifle with a 10 oz Bushnell scope from the 80’s.

+1 for WY. It is similar to MT but a lot less "crowded". Plus if you are resident you can hunt areas that non-res can't without a guide.
Second would be alaska. If Fishing was added to list, then Alaska would win.
