Just got back from a great waterfowl hunt in the Texas panhandle. Shot a lot of birds. This was the first time that I haver ever hunted crane and they were a blast to shoot. They taste great too.

    What camo do you use?

Just got some First Light gear in ASAT. Quality looks superior and marino wool will help keep things comfortable and stink free on long hunts. Also they are based out of my home town of Ketchum Idaho so I get to support a local business back home. Check them out!!

    Wolves and Hunting

An interesting article. Not much to with with SoCal but being from Idaho this is a big problem. WOLVES AND HUNTING By T. R. Mader, Research Director I'm convinced, based on several years of wolf research, hunters will bear the brunt of wolf recovery/protection regardless of location. There...

    San Diego and Glassing

The Vipers are great. Ive had a pair of 10X42 for a bit and love them. I compared them to a pair of $2500 Leicas and could not tell much difference.

    Rabbit seasons 52 days away

How do they eat? Back home in Idaho I always heard you need to wait for a good frost or freezing temps to get rid of some parasite that can make you sick.

    Trail Cam Success!!

Will do. I dont know how much of a secrete the spot is. My guess is that a few of you have been there. A group of deer, I think they were the same ones, came in while I was set up in a blind for turkey and hung out for a bit at like 30 yards. I didn't spook em, just let them move off on their own.

    Human vs. Badger

That wasn't the pet. That one was wild. As long as you keep a good grip on the back of their head they cant really do anything. My friend had an old flat bed pick up with a huge water tank at his ranch. You just park it with the valve over the hole and let it flow. Badgers are not aquatic...

    Human vs. Badger

    Human vs. Badger

Me and some friends have caught them before on my buddies ranch in Mackay Idaho. You just dump a ton of water down their hole and 9 times out of 10 they come out real mad. Then you just grab them by the back of the neck and they cant do anything kind of like a cat. My friend caught a baby one...

    Gun show!!!!

It was ridiculous. I waited in traffic for an hour to park only to find that there was a 2 hour line to buy a ticket and a 2 hour line to get in. No way was I waiting 4 hours to but some ammo. Cut my losses and left. Went shooting instead.
