I could see the buck got hit and it looked like a good first shot, but it jumped up and stood broadside for me, I couldn't resist. plus it was the last few minutes of daylight and I didn't want to spend a long time blood trailing in the dark.

It went pretty well. I hunted 10 days and didn't harvest but had several really good days of calling action and I learned a ton. Called in 2 really good bulls one morning when I was solo; definitely could have capitalized on those if I had a buddy shooting. Have you gone on your cow hunt yet?

I just got the 2p older version of the Nemo Spike. It's floorless and is pitched with trekking poles so it's super light. I really like it, have spent like 12 nights under it so far this fall. I'm really becoming a fan of the floorless idea for tents/tarps.
