Big calico bass fishing south of the border

Went south across the border in search of trophy calico bass with friends over the weekend. We had great weather and calm seas for two days of fishing. Big fish went 8lbs 4 oz. a new personal best that just beat out a fish that I had landed last year at the same time which went 8lbs 2oz. over all we had a great time and most important a safe trip.

Calicos are a lot of fun on light tackle.
