Coyotes in Owens Valley

I don't know the area for hunting, but going out and looking for signs is your best bet if you don't get any specifics. Look for rabbits, squirrels, dog tracks, game trails, water. Sounds obvious, but sometimes people go out looking specifically for coyotes and miss the other signs.

The coyotes in Owen valley are very well educated, they get called to a lot. Most of the yotes up there are going to run away from your call. Your best bet is to get lucky and cross paths with one.

In that case, do what I said and go look for game trails and signs of food and water. Then look for good ambush or sniping locations and go try try try.

I am more of the "you never know unless you go" kinda dude.

I hunt and fish when I can. Animals can only be predictable to an extent. The yotes may have been tough to call for months, then something changes and they get fired up for chihuahua in distress or something.

I try not to wait for the reports. I'd prefer to be the guy writing em!

Ding ding ding...

If it is good... don't tell us for a few months. I respect that.
