DIY Shasta County Bear

The area Steve was referring to is D8, I saw bears every time I hunted that zone. Ran into a few bear hunters who hunted it every year. But that was when one could run dogs. I'm sure there are still many bears in that area.

This is the debate right now. Drive 6 hrs north for bear/deer or double the drive (12hrs) and double the harvest numbers/success for bear/deer. That's just based on research, no actual feet on the ground. It somewhat sounds like you see no need to drive further though?
