Went out on Friday night to roost some birds and we found a flock of about 30 on public land. We got up the next morning to try to kill one with our bows because hey it's just harder and more fun and we must have gotten to close to the roost because they scattered once we were nearby. We hunted until about 10 then hiked out to get some breakfast and relax because we knew the trail they take back to the roost. We got back into our spot setup along the trail and they came through at around 3:50. They were to far take a shot at for me at 47 yards (my comfort zone is 40) but my buddy had been successful to shooting out to 60 yards and whacked the coolest hen I'd ever seen. We didn't get any pictures until about 6 because we decided to leave our phones in the truck as irresponsible as it sounds we did so to focus on hunting and not the little things in life like his girl friend and all the other petty BS in life. The picture turned out great with the headlights and his light bar shined on him it looks like the picture was professionally taken.
