OK so this will be my first year hunting and need to apply for deer tags but had a few questions. Since I don't have any points my chances of drawing a premium tag are slim. If I put D16 as my first choice and don't draw do I get a point for D16 or is it just a general Deer point? Or should I just put Deer Point as my first choice and not bother with trying to Draw D16? Also I was thinking of putting D11 or D13 as my second choice. In the Big Game Hunting it says Tag good for D11, D13 and D15. Does that mean I can hunt in any of those zones?

Thanks

Eric

You will draw D16...so it is a moot point.

And welcome to the SCH Forum.

Do PD then u get a point then d16 witch I think u will draw then g13 if your hungry or d16 again. Then personal message Josh Pearson a lot and ask him where to hunt he will tell you just be persistent

1st choice point, second choice D16 which you will draw.......third choice is mute

On your second tag get the D11 and yes you can hunt all 3 zones with that tag

Points are by animal not zones

Good luck

What MJB said. If you don't have a bow, you can extend your season considerably with various archery tags...

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the input especially being a new hunter trying to figure this all out by just reading the Hunting Digest. They didn't do a very good job of explaining the process.

Thanks Again

Eric
