Hey Guys,
Hope everyone is having a good week. Went out last night to see if I could find some Hogs and ended up seeing close to 60. I had 3 clients this morning and we got into some good hogs. The first guy shot a really nice boar at 75 yards, left him and grabbed another client and we went after the same group and he missed 3 times. The first Shot at 150, Second 165 and third at 170. So we loaded up, Driving about 3 minutes we came up on a little boar hanging with the cows, we jumped out and worked are way into 100 yards set the sticks up, the hog cleared the cows, I gave the go ahead, first shoot miss, reload the second shoot found its mark, two hogs down. The night before I had found a good group of hogs in a flat. I was hoping that they were still there, and when we got into the flat we saw a lone boar walking up the slope, I grabbed the client that missed three time, we took off on a stalk, we came up over a little rise and another bigger boar was in the flat, so we changed it up, crawling up to a rock, hog was at 30 yards, first shoot miss, second shot miss, hog gone. So I told him that I would give him one more opportunity and asked him to use another gun. We went to a spot that I knew held some hogs, a really nice wet drainage. Working are way down the road a nice boar was coming up the drainage at us, we stopped, I got the client set up on the sticks, and he made this shot count 135 yards (Three hogs dead)!
