So my membership is up for Trimble outdoors and I wanted to know if anyone has a comparison between the two?

I have been using OnX and I have been pleased. My only complaint is I cannot figure out how to get it to track me and log my route for later review.

i have the same issue with the phone app, i dont believe it tracks you, i also use onx on my gps,but one thing you can do is drop icons along your route like bread crumbs.

Ya it sure is. I usually download the map of the area I am hunting. I am able to use the GPS to locate where I am at but I can not find any way on their app to keep a log. I have a Garmin Rino that will track me but it would be nice to have it all in one place.

Have any of you checked onxmaps Roam app it says it tracks you. What's the difference between onxmaps huntmaps and onxmaps Roam

I did not know they had two apps. I will have to check that out and see if it works better.
I downloaded the onx roam app to use, based on the comments you guys made above. The onx roam app worked great, and seems to have a lot of the same features as the hunt app as far as navigation goes: layering, caching, etc. I downloaded it for free but I got the impression I'm on a free trial period.
