My daughter has two small dogs and two cats, I hate cats. Anyhow she let me know she has ant problems. They are afraid to use anything that might hurt their pets. I have heard of a product called Terro. The ants take it back to the nest and it's suppose to, over two weeks kill off the nest. I have also heard eucalyptus oil will do the same thing. Any body try either of these methods or have any other ideas.

Diatomaceous earth, ( not sure about the spelling) you can buy it at the feed store or pool supply. It is the skeletons of micro organisms, the ants inhale it as well as haul it back to their den. It clogs their lungs and they die. I use it all over my kennel property to keep the ant colonies from chewing up my training field. Does not affect mammals.
