When this bridge was started, my brother in law was a Foreman for the construction. My cousin also worked on this bridge.
I would ride in with them with a single break open Shotgun, and I would hike to the bottom. This was before it was
Illigal to do so. Then before
Their shift was up. I would hike back up. The bridge was completed in 1974.
I was 16-17 years old when started.
480 ft elevation change.
Hunted quail, and back then they were abundant.

Some guys just died this morning... he jumped over the rail to avoid a car and fell to his death.
