Semi Automatic handguns and MICRO STAMPING

From the little I know about this and if I understand right this coming January the Handguns Certified for Sale in California will be nothing except what is in stock. The current list of handguns for sale in Californian will expire and the only way the guns will meet the approved list is if they meet the safety standard which now will include MICRO STAMPING.


Does anyone have any info on this or can someone really clarify what the changes will be?

Most gun manufacturers would rather stop selling guns in California than to comply to these BS laws. And that is the anti plan.

Technically, the law cannot go into effect until "smart gun" technology is "readily available to the average consumer". But, I have also noticed that the certified list is getting smaller and no new pistols are being added. Another thing to think about, when this law goes into effect, it criminalizes all "conventional" hand guns, and I have read nothing about any grandfathering, ie expect a confiscation attempt.
