Anyone on the Escondido area have a trigger gauge and able to help me adjust my trigger to 2.5 lbs? I got my gun put together by Duncans and they did a great job but liability insurance will not let them go lower than 3 lbs.

It is a Remington 30-06 with B&C sporter stock and timney trigger. Duncan's floated the barrel and glass bedded the action d186378cdeb9e3ec557549598da40933.jpg

Not so close but Fine Firearms in La Mesa can take care of your needs (trigger pull gauge etc.).

You should bail out on your current firing pin assembly. You have the J-lock style currently.

Will they go less than 3 lbs? That's my solution if they will! What do you suggest for firing pin?

And what is the issue with this type and benefits of a change?

Weak crosspin, dirt and dust portal and butt ugly. Other than that, they are fantastic.

Will set @ 2.5#'s. Use a standard factory Rem firing pin assembly or buy a Gre'-Tan firing pin assembly.

Great meeting you Owen. You have a nice rig...and a great caliber! The bolt lift isn't an issue and we have squared away the magazine challenge. So, we will get the firing pin assembly taken care of, dial in the trigger and torque the action screws down correctly. If there are no stock bedding inconsistencies you should have a shooter!

Thanks for stopping into the shop. It was a pleasure serving another SCH member and we hope you enjoyed your experience @ Fine Firearms.

Thanks John! I had assumed the action screws were torques properly before and hope the bedding is done properly!

Can't wait to shoot some speed goats come Labor Day weekend
