Thinking trying the Tricer pan head as my VA-5 has been left me wanting a little more. Any have any experience with the two?

Chris, I don't have any experience with the VA-5, but the Tricer LP is legit. You're welcome to borrow mine for a trial run, promise you'll buy one.

I 2nd the Tricer LP. I have the Ourdoorsmans 7 oz. and it is the benchmark. The Tricer LP is lighter and smoother. Buy it now Chris!

You are gonna start seeing a lot of side x side reviews coming out on youtube over the next year.

For glassing- VA-5 is a great pan head for heavy optics. If you are running a BTX or large spotter all day it’s the way to go. If you are running Binos 95% of the time and maybe throwing a 85mm on to check/confirm you will love the LP. I am still in shock with how well it does with an 85mm spotter. It truly is the new gold standard for glassing.

For weight- you will save 12oz with the LP

For size- the va-5 is a school bus compared to a the LP. One benefit the VA-5 does have is the handle can fold down for packing the LP does not but it is so compact that this really isn’t an issue.

We don’t have a brick and mortar but we do offer free shipping and if the customer is not satisfied with the product we will send you a prepaid return label. Once I get the product back I will refund you.

Here are some photos from a “big name” guy I am working with running the LP down in Mexico on a coues hunt last week. He switched from the VA-5 and is in love. I won’t name him because I am not paying him.

Well that was quick this just got posted. His issue with tightening it down since he has no set screw is an easy fix. Just use a rag or tape and pair of channel locks with a little leverage it won’t come loose. The tape and rag are to prevent scratches.

To bad you guys won't be selling them at the tune up I was hoping to get a pan head and a GPI to go with my trekking poles.
