Unsure yet. I live in the Norco area, so Either up the hill to Apple Valley area or out toward Palm Springs. I will be ordering OnX Maps after work today so I can look at the land and know where I can and can not go.

I was going to scout up on Thomas Mtn near lake Hemet for Turkey if you want to go. I know it's a SLIM chance at best, but what the hell! I'm in Temecula if you ever want to head out.

I was planning on checking out that way as well. Mostly for quail. I was going to take a turkey call along when scouting D15 CNF for mule deer and see if I could get a response...... Or a predator to come looking for a turkey.

I live in Riverside. Orangecrest area. I would be interested in tagging along. Unfortunately my schedule sucks. Off Thurs and Friday but can schedule days off on weekend. I used to camp on Thomas Mountain a lot a few years back when i lived in San Jacinto. Hiking and scouting around is something I have been wanting to do for a while. Just for practice if anything else.

Yes cotton tail starts July 1st. Which sadly ill be busy setting up and shooting a 4th of July fireworks show that weekend (its also my birthday), so we wont see cotton tail opening day. Jack Rabbits are year round, which is what we've been wanting to head out for.

I just recently went Jack rabbit hunting with Crosmann999. It was my first time. I am looking for local people and places to get out with. Its a good time and isn't very easy which makes it more rewarding.

Riverside Orangecrest area. I am still looking for maps for local areas to go. No real luck yet. It would be nice to find a group to go out with.

As another new guy, I'd be interested if a group got together.

My schedule is posted a little higher in this thread. Its hard to find guys that are willing to show you the ropes. It can be discouraging to go by your self, especially when you have responsibilities at home and unsure where to start. If you have to plan time you want to at least know you're doing things right. I've reached out to a few people with varying success. I can understand they want boots on the ground to prove your serious but a little help can go a long way. Since I recently was invited out and have an idea of what I'm doing , I am currently changing all plans to get out to learn and hunt more. Crosman999 posted some helpful writeups that got me started.
