Mt Quail bust

I was supposed to leave to SD today, but due to a family emergency, we had to cancel. So I needed to get outdoors. I hit up some SLO County BLM land to chase Mt quail, but got skunked! A few weeks ago, before the opener, I busted several coveys while out on a scouting hike. But, I got me a gray squirrel. Skinning him was no joke. His hide was like armor!

We would tie them up between two trucks and drive away from each other to pull the skin off.
