    Yard Pimp down! #2

Lot of stoke over a Jake. Could’ve been a nice 2 year old next year.

I’ll shoot straight with you. If you need to ask about the lake on a forum (amazing that forums are still around in general), it’s going to be a steep learning curve for you. Zero cover on most years. Mud flats. Tricky access to get gear in. You better have a snow mobile or snow shoes if you...

    Oroville Wildlife Area Turkey Hunt

Relentless, keep in mind you may not even get a draw; and in general birds get more and more weary as the season goes on. What days did you apply for? I would check with the area manager not the local wardens for tips..

Wister or San J for opener?

Stick to a refuge or wildlife area before you decide they're "too busy for you". 90% of the birds on 10% of the water.

Removal and abandonment of all guzzlers and drinkers throught the Mojave National Preserve

We had a Gravid female come all the way up the LA river as far as she could last year.

    Lake Isabella turkey?

Props to you for getting out but you should’ve called up some forest service folks and talked to them. All the birds left in that drainage are on the Audubon bird preserve, and not huntable. Look up north of Glennville. Nobody is going to give you the X or anything close on an open forum like...

A few crows on the way to the 3 (dry) ponds

Why go in there and bang the crows? You're sure to push the few birds in there onto private. That place was busy last spring.

    Turkey Hunting Basics

The Turkey Tune Up is for the Sutherland Hunt. Your hunting license and upland game stamp is all you need for public land.

    Turkey Hunting Basics

You must attend the Spring Turkey Tune Up Event. There is a fee to attend this event, and it is typically hosted at Lake Sutherland. It is a good chance for a new turkey hunter to network, listen to some seminars, talk to the USFS, etc. In order to hunt Sutherland, you must enter into a raffle...
