Yes. I had seen the bull 4 hours before and contacted 3 people to verify he was legal. Then I said a prayer he would walk my trail while I was in my stand. Prayers were answered 10 minutes before last light.

I'm planning to hunt the dove opener this year but a buddy of mine in the IV said the freak monsoon rain storm last weekend blew all the dove down south. Anyone else have intel on this?

That's the long term plan. First we need to capture and store the water from our spring. 530 gallons every 24 hours. Pump and store it up hill so we can gravity feed it down to the future barley field and mud pit.

They live on a neighboring ranch and only cross our fence to visit my place twice a week to drink from the spring and roll in the mud. Lot's of water on the neighboring property too. Should get more consistent when it warms up.
