I thought the hat was a pretty cool throw in..... I'm only doing day hunt right now so I think the 1850 will be fine. I was more concerned with getting the frame then the pack.... and the initial investment I saved a few bucks until I really need more room.

Just ordered the vortex bio adapter and a vortex ridgeview tripod, I have never owned or used a tripod for any sort of glassing or filming but I'm hopeful this will help increase my odds of spotting deer in the thick chaparral in the areas i hunt... review to follow on tripod on bino adapter.
