Thank you guys! Going to try it this week/start today. Hopefully I got the right kind of alum (online) and didn't leave the skins salted/freezer too long. I'll check out taxidermy.net as well.
I'm going to try to do some tanning/ hide prep. I figured I would start with something small and easy/plentiful. I have a few rabbit skins from the end of the season and found an easy pickling recipe to prep them. It calls for Alum. (Not sure if that is aluminum sulfate or ??) Tried HD, Lowes...

Sweet for sure. Beginners luck and he had hunting buddies and a mentor put him on the spot, glassed it up...I think it makes a difference. Sooo.. I second that formula, guys with experience take a newb, share the meat. *raised hand here* ;)

Exactly..did it like that with some basting from a recipe I found on BD outdoors.. so good! Will try it with sashimi condiments next time. (Hmm didnt have the belly, gut em in the water. I might have to try that next time).
