Colorado River was pretty good for us today. Max got his first rabbit and we got some dove.

Headed out to Blythe and/or AZ with the savages tomorrow. 1st time out there, will report back. Gonna start at Palo Verde and see what's what. May head to AZ if nothing is flying.

Well, we hit Down near El Centro on Saturday morning. Knocked down a handful more than we recovered, but ended up with 8, and a rabbit. Between me and the 3 teenagers I took (my 2 and their friend). good times were had by all. I am considering giving Blythe a shot this weekend. The best story...

I started my oldest on a Rossi Rio Grand 30-30 he took a pig with. It has since been replaced by a Weatherby .270, but it's a great gun. Will probably bring it back out for varmints or next time I go back to Texas (pic 3 or 4 years old)

Big nasty goose egg for me. Missed on a Muzzie tag for elk in what should've been an easy draw unit. Oh well, try again next year. I am 0 for everything in CO and AZ so far this year. Maybe CA will be kinder to me. (but probably not)

Maybe someone better connected can shine some light for me. I understand that the Bobcat ban ends on 30 JUN 2025, meaning we can start taking them again on 1 JUL 2025? Am I mistaken?
