My eyes still tear up remembering my best four legged friends that have gone ahead. I look back on all the times in the field. They say time heals all wounds not this one.My heart goes out to you. As you have read ,all of your fellow hunting brothers and sisters feel the pain.
Has anyone done big game hunting in Wyoming ? I am moving to the state in September . My main focus living in California was bird hunting . Any suggestions on areas ?
If you are camping off grid ,solar is the way to go. You will need enough battery storage to support the rig. If you are using air-conditioning a good Generatoris needed. My rig has over 1300 watts of solar on the roof.
You will like a 20 gauge side by side. I have a old Parker , what a hoot to shoot. It's a little more expensive to shoot because of the California lead ban. I reload bismuth so I can save a few bucks.

I can understand shortages on the popular calibers due to new gun owners. Why are the other calibers in short supply ? Why would 22-250,45/70 , 30-06 be out of stock ?
I had come home from a quail hunting trip. Of course I pulled out all of my gear including my game pouch . Well a few days later my wife is complaining about a smell in the garage. Yes, one bird was left behind...nasty.

I did the dove hunt this year, very few doves. Now quail that was a different story. I saw two large coveys right near the parking area. Be prepared to shoot right away. If possible be the first group out . It will be warm, bring plenty of water. The area is large so be prepared to do some walking.
