I also drew an x10 deer tag. I went up there this past Saturday and found a lot of tracks ( deer and bear), I also saw deer, 2 does and one 3x4 buck. Im expecting hunters to be around the area I scouted, I just hope to get lucky.

Thank You NBK! Took the 2x2 with my 45-70, Its my favorite rifle and I will be using it again this year. I will be around more often, been going through some interesting times since the last post I made about scouting d14.

Been away from the forums for awhile, its a late post but I did snatch a deer in the opening last year in d14. I dont have plans of going back to d14, im going to try d19 this year.

well from san diego to Big bear/ San Jacinto area is about 1.5 hours, thats exlcuding the climb up. Ill be going often to Big Bear area scouting for new areas to hunt, away from the crowds. Ill be rolling up in my jeep this week for next week. let me know if you are interested

haha well yes, in the zone d19 area i know a lot of area where i have taken several deer but im looking for some new places because a lot of hunters have been starting to hunt where i usually had my spots but oh well, now i have to find some new areas.. as for d14, i have never hunted there...
