Question about our d16 mile deer. Obviously water is essential to locating them, but I'm curious about your observations. In the heat of August, September, and early October, how far are you seeing deer from their primary water source? A few miles? A few hundred yards? Somewhere in the middle?

Additionally, does anyone know how frequently they need to drink?

Perfect, so as long as I'm prepared for everything all the time I should be covered! I suspected that might be the case.

Yeah, the answer is somewhat circular, unfortunately.

Some like being around water (within a mile) and will hit it every day.

There is also way more water than you are aware of and they only need water every several days so they may be far more dispersed than you are thinking.

Hunting around water sources is never a bad idea but I would prioritize deer sign.
