SCH OUTDOORS

Terrible cook lol

Well I ate just about every thing that walks or crawls, i ain't dead yet. I wasn't prepared with cream cheese, jalapeños or bacon.
Learn my lesson. There's not much meat on them doves. No wonder people just harvest the
Breast. I'll take pics next time. Some dove have stuck a round. But they are really gun shy. Can't get close ambush time. With my gunner blind.

I started doing this with our boneless skinless duck breasts last season…

Place your boneless skinless breast fillet On a hot grill (or pan I, I suppose), oiled, so the meat won’t stick. Brush with butter and lightly season with garlic salt and pepper. After one to two minutes, depending on the thickness of the breast, flip it. Brush with butter again and lightly dust with garlic salt and pepper. That’s it! Should be rare in the middle. The mallards and teal we did last year tasted just like a fine, tender steak!

On a whim, I tried the same thing with Dove fillets this year. Turned out great! Obviously, the cook time was much less, maybe 30 seconds per side… tasty, tender, bite sized, beef-like treats!IMG_3397.jpeg
