My guess is he’s 290. He was in his prime a few years back. We found bigger bulls. Most were broken up pretty bad.. 2 bulls that were giants had one side missing. The guy that shot this one wanted something that wasn’t broken.

Just got back from helping some hunters in AZ. Had 2 tags in camp. 1 tag filled and could have filled another this morning. He passed on a small bull. Dudes on his own now. Talked to Drew on the way home. He said he HATES ELK.

if you are looking for a pack to haul meat. You need a pack that is separate from the frame. That way your pack is still a pack, but you can put the meat in between the Pac and the frame to haul it out. Kifaru, Stone Glacier, Exo, Kuiu. Would be packs that separate from the frame with meat...
