    My Turkey Trips This Spring

Not to come down on the folks who didn't know the regs but understand that as a licensed hunter, it is your responsibility to know the regs. When a warden checks you and you claim ignorance, you just opened your self up to being cited and possibly getting your gear confiscated. Bottom line is...

    Turkey Hunting Basics

xjixta, go with the DSD (Dave Smith Decoys), Avian X, or Deception decoys. Steve and I both use DSD and I have used Avian X also. I'm planning on getting a Deception boss hen in the Rio Grande feather coloration.

    Scouting Turkey

Old 21, one of my favorite spots! I saw a bunch across the street so probably starting to filter across the street. I really hope something changes also. I'll be up that way in the AM to listen on the old property.

    New to so cal

Seeing that theres a good amount of birds in the Temecula area, I'm sure all those birds on the north side of Palomar dispersed to other areas. I remember Massie talked at one of the Turkey tune ups on eagle peak ranch about a radio collard hen that traveled from Eagle Peak ranch all the way to...

    Scouting Turkey

That pretty much sums it up. Unfortunately many people will disregard their own safety and consideration of others by stalking birds and bumping other hunters. Hopefully through education like turkey tune-ups and seminars, we can spread the word to as many hunters as possible and bring up our...

    Youth Hunts.....It never Gets Old.

Haha yeah it was not a good experience for the kids. I'm amazed at the attitude of some "adults". No concept of sportsmanship or hunter ethics. The great thing was, we had a big mature Tom within 50 yards of Yusuke on public land and heard good gobbling both days. It turned out to be a great...

    Awesome day!

Great job! I'm almost certain that's the same bird my son almost had a shot at. He was a gobbling fool all morning. Big congrats!
