    What the?!?!

More important for your case than an OAL gauge would be a headspace guage. Even a go-nogo gauge. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Non Lead Turkey shells

Normally any ammo is good. Big names such as federal is good. In my case, the thing thats not good is the shooter. There are other issues as well such as barrel length, chokes used, type and number of shots, wad construction, etc. but all that is chosen by ....the shooter. What ever you decide...

    What the?!?!

Using OAL gauge. No OAL gauge- no problem.. Smoking a bullet or you can just use a sharpie. I use the OAL gauge.

    What the?!?!

Are you using the gauge "red stick with the grey slider" with the comparator? Doesn't sound like you are. If you don't have it then look up on youtube other ways to measure. I believe theres methods involving sharpie and even candle soot have been used.

    223 Rem. Ammo

So I have a 1:7 twist 18" and it can shoot 55gr factory fmj, 77gr norma match factory, 40gr reload (lead free boat tail) 1-1.5" groups. However 62gr CBC Magtech fmj's will shoot 3-4" group. Go figure. Unfortunately for reloading, you have to try out different weights, style, etc. to see what...

Kick ass DT! Thanks for cleaning up. I've spotted a couple big gold balloons stuck on a rock face which will need some rappelling equipment. Im showing friends and families pics of these finds and telling them never to buy this bull crap ever!

What tool did you use to measure to ogive? Once fired brass- was the neck sized to give some grip to the bullet or is it free sliding?

    223 Rem. Ammo

Barnes ive used. Blackhills im trying out. As always buys a few boxes and test which one your rifle likes. As long as it groups, ill use it. Whether 1" or 5". Depending on grouping size determines target range. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    223 Rem. Ammo

If factory loads are jamming then something wrong with rifle. How does it jam? Failure to extract? Failure to feed? Look at your bolt- dry? Dirty? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    223 Rem. Ammo

1st, is the ar chambered in 5.56 or .223? You can shoot .223 in a 5.56 but not 5.56 in a .223. Unless if its a .223 wylde then shoots both also. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
