    As was said above, there are no whitetails here. For pigs you are probably going to have to pay. There are a few on public land but finding them is going to take time. Good luck!

    Take the drive to Angeles. You won't be sitting in the dirt. Weekdays you can shoot long range. Weekends limited to 200 yards.

    Sometimes it is worthwhile to stop and talk to them. In the IV I got scouted by a green truck and I said "I know what you are hunting. Seen any quail?' The guy went from scowling to a grin and told me where he saw some.
