    Wyoming Passes 90/10

Hunter resentment from locals towards outsiders is everywhere. You think those hunters in X12 and X9a are happy not getting a tag in their own backyard unless they have over 7 points? They are not happy with us showing up. When we get a draw, we just keep a low profile and tell them we are fly...

Bad ass. The island boys will get it done. John

    Pass Shooting Snow geese

They are not staffed for that. It is busy enough when it's close to 3 with everyone showing up. You have to process the cards and put them into a computer for the draw and then post the results. Current system works. John

Summary of Waterfowl Season 2021-22 in pictures

You have no idea how much I envy you guys. You guys got into legit pheasants in So Cal before it was over developed. You guys were hunting San Diego Bay. Deer were everywhere with far less pressure. And hunting Wister when the Sea had way more water to hold ducks. I have had great duck hunts...

    Waterfowl season 21’

The Franchi is great for the money. I have killed a lot of ducks with it. Super easy to break down to the firing pin. Definitely my go to gun. You just need to stay on top of cleaning it John

    Nikita's First Season

Nikita's first duck season ended very well. She did a great job and learned a lot. She got a lot of retrieves in. The Wigeon worked great today and came in on the call really well. For those of you hunting Sunday have fun and be safe. John

Leupold CDS ..have you used it?

Interesting discussion. My ProStaff 9x40 is zero at 200. It has BDCs on it but I know the drop is 7.25 inches when I go out to 300 so I just aim a little higher. I think it is fine for out to 300 but I am looking at a Leopold just so I have better glass for the 400 yard shots. John

    arrow weed?

Most of the Blinds permit a 50 yards distance from the stake. There are some that permit a 100 yards. Grab the white map and it should be written on the back the maximum distances allowed from the stakes at various locations. Most areas you can forage stuff to brush up the blind. There is arrow...

Trig: The young one is on the left. Super impressed with her. Zero hunting lines but her drive is a 10. The one on the left is my 8 year old. Field Trial Lines and just lethal. John

    Dog bit by a rattlesnake

It is tricky. Wister may have Mohavies which are more potent then our other snakes. There is a Vet down there whose number was listed at the Wister Station at one time. Snake avoidance training and the vaccine can buy you time. Getting your dog treated asap will be critical. For those of you who...
