Praying they don't. We don't need to change anything that has worked for decades to make it more like SJ. 60 to 80 plus people in the sweat on Saturdays was enough
What ducks are you trying to target? If you just want to shoot scoters, it's all you want in the SF bay area. North Wind Outfitters or something like that does it a lot. Lots of goldeneye and other divers also.
I have a large for my male lab and think it would be too big for transport of your dog. I would consider a cheap 2 piece crate for home if you travel much. It's a pain moving them in and out. I have one in my bedroom and the other never leaves my truck during hunting season.
You can see the date taken on Google Earth images. Wister units go from being perfect to unhuntable in a season when water is left on them accidentally or for rail habitat. They also go from a jungle or great to moonscaped when the unit is reworked over the summer.
No shortage of mosquitos on the river when they're out, you just hit it on a colder day. Lots of ducks out there too, just need a better location/scout.
No one cares if you water swat a duck in range. The whole extending your range and let steel fly is basically flipping off the other hunters in the area and showing how entitled you really think you are. The need to pull the trigger is more important than another blind (or you) getting those...
I never saw it, had to be pretty small still. I went north from Noffsinger and I think I ran into signs at Beal then Beach and both ends of the campground.
