    Late Post.... bloody arrow

Sorry to hear about that. First deer I ever shot, with a rifle no less, I knocked him to the ground. Ran to the spot, he was gone. Lots of blood. He was squeezing between saplings, both would have blood smeared on them. We followed him for what ended up being about 3 miles over 5 hours...

    Interesting in San Elijo

Went to an end of the year pool party last night in San Elijo. The house backs up to a canyon, which down to the bottom is the Harmony Grove/Elfin Forrest area. There are people with animals of all sorts down there, so it could explain it. Or, maybe she made her way down from the east side of...

    Target practice shut down

The photo I showed had 2 signs side by side. The one on the left looks like 3 clear bullet holes, at least to me they do.

    Target practice shut down

Maybe you posted it for another reason, but that photo is worth a thousand words, and good example of why we lose access to places. Look at the bullet holes in the sign. I'm sorry, but what kind of idiot does that? Legal sign or not, don't just start using random things for target practice...

Great pictures, great gobbler! I've only hunted Utah once, 15 years ago for mulies, but we did the same thing. Brought the rods along and hit a local pond with trout in it. Too cool!

    Heading out in the morning....

Well, saw a decent amount of birds, all on private land..... ;) Saw one place with deer and turkeys in the field. 3 Jakes, and then a huge gobbler that my son even called back and forth with for 10 minutes. He must have gobbled back 20 times, my boy was laughing. All puffed up and strutting...
