I think if you are not going to spend the money on a high end brand then it is luck of the draw. I have some crappy waders that have lasted 6 seasons and then others that last 1/2 a season.
Right now I am just using the Cabela's breathables.
Steve... I wish I could get out here. Mild December means lots of dead ducks and geese. Nothing is frozen like it usually is. I tried to get out on Monday and had to get towed home 40 minutes into my drive.
Rad. What are the Cliffs Notes? Chasing bulls or cows? What state?
That tent looks too warm... I would for sure wake up late and hunt after a heavy breakfast.
Yup. A water system based on snow melt. Rainwater seems to go straight to the ocean.
I work in the utilities world, but I sure love being on a well at home.
Comfy is a really good word for it. I wore my Guide pants in the deer blind this morning. I actually always wear them in the blind as they are also very warm.
I know there were details posted on other forums in the past, so searching Google might be your best friend.
1 club is on the base. Active/retired military or contractors working on base are eligible to hunt. Details are here.

The other club is private...
Birds done wrong look stupid. I dont recommend staying local if the local guys arent great at birds.
Breck is very good at birds. Worth the drive or mailing.
Birdman Studios out of Trinidad, CO is also very very good if you make the decision to mail your bird.
Yup. I usually drive from Colorado just to hunt Wister snows.
You might want to read up on the many forums that have posted about the decline of snow goose hunting in the Imperial Valley. Most of the diehards have all moved their spreads up north.
This thread is awesome. We just welcomed our 4th child last week. 7 years and the big game hunting starts. Maybe sooner if we can go to a state without the 12 year old age restriction.
