Yep, the RP is the connecting knot of choice. Sadly, we didn't get to test my knots this weekend, the weather was crap and the tuna weren't biting. We did get some rock fish and white fish aka taco fish.
As others have indicated, they'll all get the job done. They had a great comparo on Meat Eaters website between 300 win mag and 7 PRC. I can't remember which one or why (I'm super helpful sometimes).
I was contemplating this last year and, due to recommendations from two friends whose hunting...
Just ordered a pair. I've got a pair of the $30 ones from Amazon. They weigh twice as much and don't breathe so I generally leave them at home. Won't do me much good there.
That said, the one time I got hit was by a baby in my back yard. Fortunately, I was wearing a pair of heavy leather cowboy...
We're heading out this weekend for tuna and rockfish. I got on board the SPJ bandwagon last year. I'm using a Phenix Titan twig with a Penn Fathom 40 Narrow and 50# braid. Last trip every time I dropped I got hit. Got 5 nice ones in a very short time.

I was there and enjoyed the show. I can see Wildgame's issues, Steve didn't talk as much as I anticipated he would, but I was really there to see the whole crew and I thought the stories were interesting. I was cracking up at the description of Jani's kids napping by Steve. For what I paid for...
Congratulations Drew! So stoked for you. Your success is a reflection of the passion you've put into this project and the products you make. Looking forward to seeing what's next (my wallet isn't lol)
I have the Sitka Core Lightweight Hoodie and love it. Been using it for five hunting seasons so far and it still looks new. I love the integrated face mask and that it comes in tall sizes. It is my go-to every hunting trip base layer.
Last season I switched to the Sitka Intercept pant because...
I was wondering about hunting turkeys in the rain. One of my biggest problems is that I have to cross a stream to get into where I'm going. If that thing floods....
So @ilovesprig are you saying the birds will just stay in the roost all day if it's raining?
