    Blaze orange on MCC?

He had binos. He likely spotted movement and it was faster to look through his scope.

Ever been involved in hunting accident?

Yup. Like I said in that other thread, I always have that orange bandana (the MeatEater "how to skin a deer" bandana) in my pocket. Ya never know when you'll need a quick signal.

Ever been involved in hunting accident?

Had a guy point a rifle at me when I was hidden in a natural deer blind. Luckily, I was able to wave an orange bandana before he pulled the trigger. Closest I've come. **knocks on wood**

    Blaze orange on MCC?

A lot of idiots will just shoot at movement and then look to see what they shot at. I almost always wear orange for the walk in and walk out, just a ball cap. Oh, and my sitting pad is orange and clipped to the back of my pack. Also a story, a couple of years ago a friend and I were hunting...

Let me know when you're ready to head out. I bought a used Hobie Outback a few months ago. I've been out in Mission and San Diego Bays but keeping close to land so far.

Camo is not necessary……Change my Mind

I will admit to considering it. But it seems like all their gear is directed to hunting in cold weather, not our D-16 sweltering temps. I also could not find anyone who has actually tried it and think it works, only online people I don't know.

308 Win is a great hunting Cartridge…Change my mind

I love my 308. Best part is my dad shoots it too and he reloads so we have great bullets which have been custom tuned to our rifles.

Camo is not necessary……Change my Mind

I always wear camo, but I'm almost always hunting with my crossbow, coyote hunting, or turkey hunting. Or doves, can't forget those sneaky little bastards. I'm with those who really like their gear for the functionality of it. I'm a Sitka fan boi and love how their pants and core lightweight...

Ducks and deer opener same day?

Opening day was the same for both last year. I had set up in my hidey hole about an hour before shooting light about 200 yards or so from a pond. Somewhere around dawn, I heard a shot, followed by 3 or 4 more shots. I though to myself, "Man, that dude is a terrible shot if it takes four...

    2022 tuna charter

I recently went out on a boat which I won't name. Great guys and some great fishing. I got skunked on BFT but got 2 great YT so I was happy. BUT, one dude who was the father of one of the deckhands caught 4 or 5 BFT and the boat limited. (We hit a huge school at 2 am on the way in and the...

    National Forest closures

You and I must have been close to each other. My family and I had grabbed lunch in Ramona and were heading to Laguna. We first noticed a little wisp of smoke while we were in the drive-through in Ramona. We actually drove through the very beginning of the fire in between Ramona and Santa Ysabel...
