I've hunted it a lot the past 5-6 years and have only seen one bear, small cinnamon fella. I'm glad to hear the biologist says that there is a healthy population, but I am a little surprised. I heard once that they dropped bears that were trapped in local communities off up there, but can't...

X10 is a tough zone to deer hunt, very low deer density. Another factor that makes it tougher than some is the extreme amount of fishing pressure and off-roading pressure. I know 3 guys that hunted it last year (individually) and they saw 1 nice buck while scouting in July and then nothing...

Freeze a water bottle and once frozen, place it on the ground and roll it back on forth with the bottom of the affected foot. I had it in both feet at the same time, but mine was tied to an auto-immune disorder I was later diagnosed with. Good luck, it's hell!
