    Banded Doves

I got one by Wister last year... It had been banded in the same area that year. 6 years is wild though!

Any dove reports for San Jacinto, Cady, San Felipe?

    Questions about dove hunting

IMO I would skip San J and head to the IV... It's well worth the extra drive, you're almost guaranteed to have more opportunity there. Go Saturday if you can and scout ahead of time so you know where you're going come opening morning. You're generally looking for recently cut grain fields...

    Wyoming draw results

Nice - I missed on my NR special buck tag despite my second choice going leftover last year... I did scoop two doe tags in a decent unit so I'm thinking I'll probably still make the trip. Will probably see if I can pick up a buck tag in the leftover draw

    J11 apprentice tag

Yup - there would have had to been some point creep. Only 2 of the 36 applicants with 1 point last year could have drawn in the preference pool so if enough of those 34 didn't draw in the random and continued to apply for J11 this year (now with two points) that would be enough to shift the odds...

    J11 apprentice tag

Based on the 2018 Draw Odds there was 40 J11 tags, 20 of which go into the preference point draw, 20 in the random, last year the application pool looked like the following: 1 applicant with 3 points 15 applicants with 2 points 2 between 2 and 1 points 36 applicants with 1 point 2 between 1...

    Budget Rifles.

FWIW... I have no remorse on my recent Savage 11/111 Long Range Hunter in 6.5cm purchase. Found it for $499 on grabagun. Got a great trigger, shoots truer than I ever will and I like the adjustable cheek riser.

    DIY Trail Cam Stake

This is my DIY set up for when I can't find a good tree nearby. The wood stakes are like $8 for a 12 pack at HD or Lowes. Works fairly well except I wish they were a tad thinner; its a little thick to drive into the real dense dry stuff. One thing to keep in mind if your using a low setup like...
