It's been wide open for a few weeks now in LJ. I just seem to go when the YT aren't biting. Lol. I've seen a lot of guys hauling them I just can't seem to catch a break.

I have an extra kayak and poles if you ever want to get out in the water again. All you need to bring is a fishing license.

La Jolla has been a great spot to fish this summer. Going into the fall the bite is still great. Lots of bait fish in the water this morning. Birds were working just west of the point all morning. I have yet to land a yellowtail and have gone out almost every weekend for the last 3 months...

Welcome to the site! There are a lot of good and knowledgeable hunters on here who are always willing to giving out advice. Do your fair share of research and get out in the mountains. You will end up learning a lot on your own. That's my experience at least. Good luck on your hunt this season...

I carry both a Havalon double sided knife (bone collector) and a benchmade altitude. The Havalon is not as expensive and works great! I would recommend both.

I saw a lot of WT in Missoula when I was out there. Majority of them were in residential areas and private farm fields. Only a few in the actual forest though. Reminded me of Julian. Lol

I always camp. No better way to get a fresh start on the day. Plus it's a long drive from the coast to the mountains. This year will be the first I plan on packing in.
