The only thing that has prevented me from going anywhere and doing anything during this "pandemic" is if something was closed (restaurants and whatnot). Ive pretty much led a normal life and never stayed home. No reason to stay home now. See ya out in the field this weekend before sunrise...
The problem is relative to what was said above. There are stands that have been out there for year after year. I wouldnt hesitate to sit in one. Just double check the straps and whatnot for safety. Now, there are stands you can tell are very new due to the condition of them. Those I would not...
What if im just walking around at 1am in the forest and decide to take a nap 4 miles in? Lol. Find it hard to believe they can ticket someone sleeping in their vehicle. What if Im tired and driving and need to pull over to sleep?
Having apnea I have to have offgrid power for my CPAP machine if I want to stay in backcountry. I use a little sherpa 100 with an apnea machine the size of a soda can. It will last me two nights without a charge. Any longer and I would have to get a solar panel like yours....
Agree on using packwork to get in shape. Im running about 35-40lbs total in my Kuiu pack just doing 3 miles around my neighborhood. Trying for 2 times a week. I am way behind this year. Gotta start doing McGinty soon... That mountain always gets the heart rate up.
Im a firm believer that 30-40lbs is more than enough to train with. Why over do it and possibly hurt yourself and not be able to hunt. Save the heavy loads for packing out.....
