    Any 308 fans? What load?

My dad and I both shoot 308. Our standard for years has been the 168 grain TTSX. We use Varget and are getting 2555 out of the muzzle. For some reason he has started working up a load of 130 grain bullets.

    Concealed Carry Hand Gun

WOW! The wait time has gone up a LOT in a year. When I did mine, I submitted my app and had the interview a couple of months later. I guess that shows how many people are now applying now that the "good cause" requirement has been stricken and how many people are concerned for their safety and...

    Concealed Carry Hand Gun

I have two guns I rotate between for CCW. I have a Glock 19 and a Kahr CW9. The Glock is my daily carry and I use the Kahr when I go hiking or anything athletic because it's lighter and has a smaller footprint. I would like to add a pocket gun and am considering a Ruger LCP. It's not on the...

What did you get under the tree?

I got myself a Ruger 7mm PRC with a Maven scope. My pops gave me a gift certificate to Sportsmans to get some ammo for it. I gave the girls some bling so everyone's happy!

what in your first aid backpack

I have personal trauma kits all over the place. In the truck, in my Land Rover, my hunting pack, work backpack, and my desk at work. They all have a tourniquet, quick cot, two chest seals, and then various things like splits, large wraps, etc. To me, when going out in the woods with weapons a...

Looking for Ghosts - Arizona Coues 2022

Great story and very well written. I really like the way you did the mounts too. That sounds like an epic adventure

    GodSpeed Cali.

Oh man it hurts to read this. So sorry Brandon. We just lost our female Ridgeback two weeks ago to a cancer we didn't know she had. She was fine all day and then suddenly wasn't. We took her to the ER but there was nothing they could do and we had to say goodbye. Like your Cali, she was the...

    Hunter's First Aid Kit

That's why I like the SOF tourniquets, they have a slack indicator on them.

    Hunter's First Aid Kit

I have a few Dark Angel Medical Every Day Carry Trauma Kits with the tourniquet. They have all the basics for a traumatic injury situation, tq, quick clot, chest seals, gloves, and a compression bandage. You might be able to buy the components separately for less, but for ease I went with the...

    First Lite

The hat is actually not camo, regular tan waxed cotton. It has a camo liner on the "flap" thingy.

    First Lite

I'm a Sitka guy for my camo but have a bunch of First Lite gear too in solids. Their merino base layers and t-shirts are the bomb. I also recently bought one of their waxed cotton Stormy Kromer hats. That thing is damn comfortable and warm as all get out. Looks kind of dorky in a mid-western...

    Second Year on D16

I can't tell if you're being serious or facetious. I know the road hunters up in D14 tend to do pretty well, but I've never heard that about 16.

    Second Year on D16

I've been hunting the 16 for four years now. The only buck I've ever shot was on private land that I got access to. I've only seen one legal buck on public lands and that was the week before opener of 2019. It's a tough zone for sure. The amount of cats we're getting is only making things worse
