I think there are no restrictions if both guns are legal for CA. But they should be loaded only with non-lead ammo including your 22Mag. That's for sure as I talked with wardens about this matter.

@fish impaler @ilovesprig Thanks for feedback. Know the rule just was not sure about the "plug" word. So I thought maybe some new crazy rule from CA officials I am not aware about yet (every dove hunter should have a plug in their pocket or somewhere else) :) Things are changed so quickly here.

I used this one in the dessert the previous year: Spypoint Link Micro Trail Camera I left it for 3 weeks in the area with good AT&T signal. If you set all options properly it catches every valid movement and gives pretty good pictures.
