Seeking Hunting Partner(s): SoCal Hunter Ready for Adventures In and Out of State

I totally agree with you DLLM. Especially Duck Hunting! Hate that crap! In all honesty I don't get a chance to "big game" hunt because, like yourself, my time is tight also. Good thing about bird hunting here is that it can be done on a Saturday/Sunday/Wednesday and you can be home...

    Anyone recognize these?

Was going through my ammo today and came across these two boxes that look pretty old. A 28 gauge had some original paper shells. The 12 gauge had some paper shells that I think are reloads. Looks like they were bought at White Front??? for $1.80. Pretty sure I got these from my Grandpa.

    Dove Hunt weekend #2

Went to Westmoreland area to hunt a little and do a little work at the club. Hunting was almost as good as opening weekend. Still lots of birds where I was at. Weather was a bit hot though. Drove home today and hit some rain and dust storm. Anyone else out this weekend, how'd you do?

    Uh oh!

I also heard this but I don't know if it's true, I kind of doubt it. I was told the sea went up 3" from this storm.....the sea is like 30 some miles long I believe and to raise 3 vertical inches seems crazy to me. Kind of like someone saying they have a 65' Belgium made Browning Citori......

Well had my first successful hunt

As others have said, don't over cook it. You can go crazy with marinades and brines all you want but if you over cook it, it will taste livery. I keep mine simple. Wrap it with bacon to protect it from overcooking and give it some fat. No liver taste whatsoever. Big props to you for...

    Uh oh!

Wow, we were near Westmoreland and got lots of rain, wind knocked down power lines. We had no power for 2 days. Ended up at America's Best in Westmoreland to take a nice shower and sleep in a cool room for the night. Heard Niland got hit bad. Hope the Buckshot survives this.

    Dove opener weapon of choice.

Well, after seeing your response and others, I started doing some research as I'm not a "gun guy"... Everything you guys are saying seemed right so I pulled my Grandpa's "Belgium made Citori" out of the safe and well..... I've been told by my Dad some incorrect info. I have been calling this...
