That for sure sucks but, why didn't you fling an arrow at the birds when they were coming in at 20yds or even 30yds. 20 and 30 are my sweet spots.

Just got a report of 2 nice fish caught.

Not 1 trout caught on the whole lake as of noon when we left. Fished the handicap dock till 10 with 1 bite, then moved to the shoreline near the boat ramp and had 3-3to4lb. trout patrolling the shore in 18" of water. Used power bait on 3 poles, yellow,rainbow,pink,and brown. No go. Even threw...

No rain, no wind, and cold. The deer were everywhere!!! Saw a couple dozen, but the only bucks were spikes, and they were pushing the does around. Very cool to see that much activity.

I'll be out this week

Went out this morning for the first time this season, Cold, Wet, and Windy as helln out there. Deer were pinned down in my area, visibility was less than 50yds. It's supposed to get worse as the day goes on, so will have to try and get out on wed or thurs.

Ya, sleep on the ground with the tarantulas................No thanks. I woulda shot that second one, any day of the season. The first one probably too, I'd only feel bad till I was eating it.

It is supposed to cool down quite a bit on monday. I'll be down fishing at the river this weekend when it's warm, but will be after some of these guys on monday during the cool down.
