    R.I.P Charlie...

Using the right wing foil to The Onion as "source" is absolutely wild and illustrates one of the reasons this country is so broken.

    R.I.P Charlie...

I'm not making it personal. The deafening irony of the public reaction to this particular death as compared to the hundreds of other murders (including other political assassinations) is wild to me. Good luck to you and your wife! I've got a masters myself, grad school is serious business. You...

Four presidents and a podcaster? C'mon, you're letting your emotions get the better of your reasoning.

    R.I.P Charlie...

The number of men who have not taken a college class in decades (if ever) speaking about the "grand liberal conspiracy" with a doctoral level of certainty is absolutely absurd. Y'all gotta turn off Fox news and go touch grass. You're just as bad as these kids that live on the internet 24/7.

    R.I.P Charlie...

Can't wait to see what attacks on 2A come from this. As Charlie said himself many times, there's a cost to freedom. Unfortunately this will flip Republicans against gun rights (remember Trump's bump stock ban and red flag laws in his first term?). I've already seen many posts calling for more...

New to the 16. Question for the experienced

If you're at Laguna, it's a safe bet that those spots will have hunters. Your best shot is to hunt during the week, and early before the bikers and hikers get out there. Re: cameras in obvious spots. That's a trick I'm guilty of. I'll throw a camera up in a trailhead to keep tabs on how many...

New to the 16. Question for the experienced

Don't be afraid to hunt near roads. In the age of Meateater and The Hunting Public, everyone charges miles down the trail and overlooks the spots right next to the road. Can often be very productive.

    Pantaloons for sale

Sitka mountain pants (34t) and Orvis fleece lined pants (32x34) for sale. Small repair on the mountain pants near the knee but otherwise in great shape. Looking for $120 for both, or $100 for the sitka, and $30 for the orvis. Happy to ship but would rather meet up at night next to the...

I did a bit of poking around after you posted, I collect old foreign fishing reels as well, but none of my usual sources turned up anything. You're on a real unicorn hunt here!

    Dozen Tanglefree Mallard Decoys (rigged)

Dozen mallard dekes rigged and ready for season. They're a bit dusty and a bit scuffed, but they all float and I promise I haven't shot them up at all (seriously, I couldn't hit a sitting duck if I wanted to). Here's the product link, even with the sale you're looking at $200 including...

CA background check for ammo is gone(for now)

Awesome. Kinda shocked the 9th ruled that way. There's a pretty good chance this will actually stand since the SC would likely concur if the case was appealed.

    Rubs and scrapes

That's really helpful, thanks Steve! The rubs I've found are mostly on smaller shrubs/trees so I suspect it's likely that they're all spikes/forks/sporks in the area. I did, however find a monster rub last week that looks like it was from last year. Will be staring into that canyon a lot in the...

    Rubs and scrapes

Question for the brain trust. I've found a few rubs and scrapes here in d16, threw some cameras up and was disappointed by the general lack of activity around them. Do mule deer behave differently around rubs and scrapes than whitetail? Do y'all prioritize hunting around rubs/scrapes?
