Thanks for the info! Seems like a great option (or something similar) for the .243 I have sitting in the safe right now. I've been kicking around how to best set it up for deer season.

What is the range on a setup like that? I haven't dabbled much in the red dot world, and my understanding was that they were for short ranges?

The only downside to these rifles, to me anyway, is their weight. Well worth the bang for the buck!

Good luck, I hope the chapter survives! My sons and I join the Ventura chapter for a work day or 2 each year. I find a lot of value in hanging out with them and in the work they do. I wish I could join them on a monthly basis for meetings, but they are over 100mi away. It is sad to me...

Home tests are interesting... I know first hand of 3 recent home tests that were positive but when tested the same day at UC, all 3 were negative. Weird.

If I had an $300 laying around I would, but I don't so I'm trying to save them.

Thanks. Tried that, twice. The second time I added a good amount of white vinegar and no luck.
