If my 25 year old Super Mag Hauler will ever die I'm getting the Roger's Sporting Goods cart. Swamp Thing carts look nice too.
Yep, I hear you. It's a pain to balance everything and strap it well enough to not move. A friend has a homemader with 3 wheels that's a breeze to push.
Way less wigeon using Henshaw that in the past. Hunt days are now Thur and Sat. If you're targeting a cinnamin I would skip the $50 permit and 20 degree morning and head to the IV for a much better chance at one or 7.
Should be zero issues if it's BLM. Glass for ducks or just set up and hunt it. Don't tell another soul where it is unless you see birds then PM me the info.
What campground did you drive through, the temporary one? Never seen 50 trailers in there. The permanent campground is all spaced out within marked boundaries by site #. There are usually never more that 1 in 4 trailers occupied. This has nothing to do with public safety.
Please send location, price etc. and let me know when the litter is up on HLP. Looking for a yellow male around that time frame. How much does Colt weigh?
You went to SJ and Tom wasn't helpful?
A new duck hunter "shooting at everything that looks like a duck" at gray light, what could go wrong? Gotta love a 4 ibis, 3 pintail limit.
If you're talking Wister specifically that scenario would have birds coming over the dike as they all run N/S. Birds don't usually have an issue doing that unless it's one of the new moonscaped multi lane highway dikes. In general I don't want birds having to fly over a lot of decoys to get into...
Wind direction is important in blind location and decoy placement. Stronger the wind more important it is. Truly decoying ducks will finish into the wind.
Worse day of the year at Wister and the best day at SJ. I've seen most of the birds leave Wister before after days of high winds but I don't think they went that way.
