We got the 1230 hunt, and are coming from LA, so it isn't a huge drive for us. What time is the early hunt?

I have 3 that got drawn for the same one. Never been there and info is sparse. We've done a few of these pheasant hunts(Wister, SJ, Peace Valley) and they all seem to run the same.

Someone stole mine from SJ and Wister for the opener. Sweatline it is. Gonna be a grand, giant ass Charlie Foxtrot out at SJ.

I know javi and turkey for sure, but I think bison, and I think the falconery capture permits. I usually just put in for Javi. Did 36B last year. Looking further north for this year, between PHX and Flag. Border was a little sketchy for me.

I'll be out in the IV for closing weekend on Saturday. Since all of the LA/OC area D Zones have burned down this week, it looks like I'll be waiting on waterfowl at the end of October.

I hunted the upland game field yesterday morning at Wister, it looked pretty good.

Imperial Valley was slow this weekend, and hot

I was out in IV Sunday and Today. We found a couple of ok fields, but the evening hunt was better than the morning ones. Man, was it hot.

Headed out to Calipatria for the opener.

That's what I was thinking. I buy 2 3/4 for upland, mostly because it's a bit cheaper, but if I have 3in laying around, I'll use it. I've never had a problem using them. I don't know......

I was talking to a friend the other day, coordinating for the dove opener. He said that he's been told by CDFW that 3in shells aren't to be used for dove, just 2 3/4. This didn't sound right to me, and I went back and checked the regs. I couldn't find anything that said you couldn't use 3in...
