Nice! I think for next year I am going to pick up the NX8 2.5 to 20 for Alaska....

    7 PRC

It is true, nothing new in terms of performances just all repackaged. The biggest change is how accurate "factory" ammo should be. What I like about the 7 PRC is pushing that 180 gr ELD-M at 3000 fps. Really it is not needed for hunting other than dramatically reducing wind drift with that...

    7 PRC

Splitting hairs but the 7 PRC more similar to a 7 rem mag. Should give you an extra 100 fps over 280ai or 7 saum. The 7 PRC is to the 7 rem mag what the 300 PRC is to the 300 Win Mag.

    7 PRC

Going to be great but maybe to much recoil compared to your creedmore

    7 PRC

Nice Bipod!! Fortunate for sure!!! God gave me a good one. I still like running those 140 AH over 3300 fps. I am tempted to clear out my gun safe after hunting season and start fresh next year. I get bored with my guns to easily. Though that 338 RUM will never leave my hands. But have been...

    OR Elk and Bear Blog

Not going to lie, i was a little hesitant about getting it because i don't like my fingers that close to my msr when i light it...but as we saw the winds kicked my butt. Now I need to get one.

    7 PRC

Have you thought about trying the 180 ELD-M in your 280ai? I know a lot of guys using them for hunting and with the .4 g7 bc, should be insane improvement against the wind.

    7 PRC

I like the 280ai a lot, but left wanting a little bit more. I have a problem... I also did not like having to seat the bullet deep on my tikka. I know you can get around that, but the 7 PRC seems to be designed around the tikka action for heavy bullets.

    7 PRC

That it is!! I am just trying to figure out what I want to turn my old tikka into. Tempted to sell my current 6.5 PRC and turn the tikka into one with a faster twist. That or the 7 PRC. I was also tempted into making the tikka into a LA 300 WSM but I have to many 30 cal magnums.

    7 PRC

I am younger and dumb so that has lead me to be fairly recoil insensitive. I do have a 6.5 PRC but have been wanting to add a 7 rem mag or 28 nosler to my tool set. The 7 PRC basically standardizes all the custom options that you would put into a custom 7 rem mag, just like the 300 PRC does...

    My 2022 Solo Hunt..

Fork-a-saurus with a neck shot!!! Congrats!! Way more memorable than those lame 180+ pt texas deer you nab. Sometimes you need some time apart from the old lady to remember how meaningful she is to you.

DOES ANYONE SHOOT OR LOAD A .280 ACKLEY IMPROVED???

Yeah it was officially "released" today but it has been floating around for a while. Honestly if price is an issue i would just buy the 7 rem mag. It is hard to beat

    7 PRC

What do you guys think of the new 7 PRC? In my opinion it looks like the perfect hunting cartridge, can't wait until some good brass is made for it. I really like that it is designed for heavier 7mm pills at a 3.34" COAL while still dead in the middle of the 7 RM and 28 Nosler in terms of...

DOES ANYONE SHOOT OR LOAD A .280 ACKLEY IMPROVED???

There are two parts of choosing a caliber, functionality and "appeal". Functionality is about delivering the right construction of projectile and the game you plan to hunt within the distances that you plan to shoot. This can also be availability of reloading components and gear. "Appeal" is...
